Our Team
At SkyMed Global, our greatest strength is our people.
Behind every successful patient journey is a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, medical coordinators, logistics specialists, and international partners working together with one common purpose—to ensure every patient receives safe, seamless, and compassionate care.
Dr Sundaresan Maiyalagan
MD, MBA , FICM , PG Dip AeroRT
Medical Director
As Medical Director of SkyMed Global, my job is to make sure every patient we move — whether critically ill or travelling abroad for planned treatment — receives care that meets international standards, from the first phone call to safe arrival.
I bring over 20 years in the medical disciplines of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, together with formal training as an Aeromedical Retrieval and Transport physician, coupled with a Masters in Business Administration. I have personally led transfers of critically ill adults and children in and out of Mauritius to and from India, Madagascar, UAE, Europe and various other destinations, so I understand both the clinical and logistical realities of moving a fragile patient and concerned family members across borders.
Within our team, I set the clinical protocols, oversee crew readiness and equipment, and make the medical calls that keep each transfer safe. For our medical tourism patients, I ensure that we match every case to the right hospital and specialist and stay their clinical advocate throughout.
Our commitment is simple — Your Health. Our Reach. — backed by the judgement of clinical personnel who has sat at both the bedside of the patient in the hospital and in the aircraft.
Dr K Mungur
Flight Doctor
As one of the Flight Doctors working in collaboration with Skymed Global, I’m the person at the patient’s side when the stakes are high — in the air, in the emergency room, or in intensive care. I draw on years spent in emergency and intensive care medicine, where reading a patient quickly and acting decisively isn’t optional — it’s the job.
I have also lead an organisation caring for home-care patients across Mauritius, which has taught me that good medicine doesn’t end when a patient leaves hospital. It’s shaped how I think about continuity — making sure the care we begin in the aircraft or the ICU carries through to recovery at home.
Within the Skymed team, I bring that full-spectrum view: the urgency of critical care, the precision of flight medicine, and the patience of long-term care. Wherever the patient is, my role is the same — keep them safe, keep them stable, and get them home.
Farzana Dossa
Care Service Coordinator
I oversee the end-to-end operational coordination of overseas patient care, managing all non-clinical aspects of the journey to ensure a seamless, stress-free experience.
From travel logistics and visa processing to accommodation, hospital admissions, and on-ground support. I ensure every detail is handled with precision. I also facilitate communication and credit card facilities for accompanying patients, keeping them connected and financially supported throughout their stay.
My commitment to operational excellence directly enhances patient satisfaction, streamlines efficiency, and reinforces SkyMed’s standing as a trusted leader in international healthcare facilitation.
Firdaus Rosun
Flight Nurse
As Nurse Lead at SkyMed Global, my role is to ensure that every patient receives safe, coordinated, and compassionate clinical support from the first point of contact to the completion of their care journey. My focus is on patient safety, clinical readiness, continuity of care, and clear communication between patients, families, and the medical team.
I bring more than 10 years of nursing experience in high-acuity settings, including Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac ICU care. This experience has strengthened my clinical judgement in patient monitoring, early recognition of deterioration, emergency response, and the safe preparation and support of critically ill patients.
Since 2007, I have also been an active member of the Red Cross Society medical team, contributing to first aid response, medical coverage, training activities, community health support, ambulance coordination, patient handling, and safe transfer practices.
My approach combines clinical discipline, emergency readiness, and compassionate care, ensuring that each patient and family feels supported throughout their healthcare journey.
Wherever your care journey takes you, we are here to support you.
